Soccer NSW Metropolitan League
Under 11 Boys

  1. Kick Off Times, Playing Times and Ball Sizes
  2. The Metropolitan League is a Competition between Under 11 Boy's Association sides played mostly on Sunday morning prior to Girl's Youth League fixtures.

    Injury and Stoppage Time must be played as per Law 7 of the Referees Chart.

    In special circumstances these times may be varied, and referees will be notified of any changes when appointed. Match officials must arrive at the ground at least 30 minutes before the kick off time of their first fixture.

  3. Half Time Interval
    The half time interval on all fixtures must not exceed 10 minutes due to the time schedule of the other fixtures during the day. Send Off and Incident Reports Concerning Metropolitan League Games
    Send -off and Incident Reports, for the above Competitions, must be sent so as to arrive, at the address listed below, no later than the Tuesday following the match. For mid -week fixtures all Send-off-and Incident Reports must be sent so as to arrive at the address listed below within 48 hours of the completion of the match.

    Copies of all Send-off and Incident Reports for the above Competitions must be sent so as to arrive, at the address listed below, no later than the Tuesday following the match. For mid -week fixtures copies of all Send-off and Incident Reports must be sent so as to arrive at the address listed below within 48 hours of the completion of the match.

    Referees must not take any ID Cards on any Send-Offs. Team Managers will take them to the P & D meeting on the required night.

  5. Referee Report Books (including Caution Reports)
    Both teams are required to provide to the referee prior to kick off a "Referee Report Book"
  6. If "old" Referee Report books are offered (i.e. caution codes up to Y32) they are to be rejected. All clubs have been issued with current books (i.e. caution codes up to Y36). See Caution Codes

    For all Send-offs, the Referee must put player's name on Club / Association Referee Report Book and if asked, at the end of the match, by Club Secretary /Manager what charge the player was dismissed for. See Send-Off Codes

    Each team is required to send the Original to Soccer NSW.

  7. Security Of Referees Room: REFEREES PLEASE TAKE NOTICE.
    Do not leave any valuables (e.g. Mobile Phone), money or gear in Referees Rooms unless a key is obtained or the Room is under strict supervision by Club / Association Officials.

    The Home team shall be responsible for payment of Referees reimbursement. The Home team being defined as the Club / Association named first on the fixtures list. Listed below are the reimbursements Referees will receive on the above Competitions.

    Referee fees are to be paid after each game or as mutually agreed with club officials prior to the game.

  9. Interchange Players
    The unlimited interchange rule shall apply. Up to sixteen (16) players may be used, but their names must be on the Team Sheet prior to the commencement of the game. See

  10. Substitution Boards must be used at all times.

  11. Corner Kicks
    Corner kicks are taken eight (8) yards out from the edge of the Penalty Area.Goal Kicks
    Goal kicks are taken anywhere within the six (6) yard area. The Bench
    Procedure for number of people permitted on bench for each age group.
    Only nine (9) people in total from each team i.e.
    1. Five (5) substitutes
    2. Four (4) Team / Club Officials who are in possession of a current ID Card, issued by NSWSF
    3. Vested Club Officials should also not be allowed to occupy Bench area or Technical Area unless there is some kind of disturbance that requires their attention. This area is strictly for those participating in the game.
    4. All Referees are to ensure that the above Rules are strictly enforced. See Technical Area
  12. Team Sheet Procedures
    1. Team Sheet is to be supplied by Home Club / Association.
    2. White Copy - To Referee - 10 minutes prior to kick-off.
    3. Yellow Copy - To Visiting Team.
    4. Green Copy - To Home Club / Association.
    5. The reverse side of the White Copy provides for the naming of "Best and Fairest" players. Referees are not required to complete this section.
    6. All Referees must list Goal Scorers on Team Sheets as per instruction on bottom left hand corner of Team Sheet
    7. All Referees please take notice that you take the correct name(s) from the Team Sheet for all Send-off Reports. Check name(s) on the Team Sheet prior to returning them to the Home Association / Club.
    8. All Referees must print their names and Branch on all Team Sheets and Evaluation Sheets.
  13. Ground Marshalls
    Each Club / Association to supply two (2) Ground Marshals, each correctly identified by wearing NSWSF or Sydney Branch Jackets -and identified to the Referee prior to kick-off, with their names listed on the Team Sheet, if not a report must be submitted within 48 hours of the Match.
